HTST Operator

Overall Responsibilities

Operating HTST, CIP system, unloading milk trucks, starting vats. Must be dependable and reliable as this is a vital position at LaClare Family Creamery. Schedule - Monday through Friday, Hours - 1:30am - 9:30am. Shift differential for night hours.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for CIP operation on a pre-determined schedule

  • Manages the unloading of milk trucks

  • Preforms antibiotic testing

  • Self – Motivated and able to work on their own

  • Operate High Temp Short Time (HTST) Pasteurizer

  • Starting Cheese Vats

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Complete Appendix N training and retrain annually

  • Currently holds or able to obtain Bulk Milk Weigher Sampler License

  • Currently holds or able to obtain Pasteurization Certification for the State of Wisconsin

2nd Shift Production Assistant - Cheese Assistant

Overall Responsibilities

To assist in making and performing all necessary duties to produce the highest quality of cheeses possible.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with Cheese Production Supervisor, Plant Manager, and Cheesemakers to complete all tasks within the production areas. These items include but are not limited to the following:

  • Production: Assisting with all production runs and documenting all steps in make procedure to insure accurate, consistent, safe, and quality products every time

  • Sanitation: Keep a clean work environment. Wash, rinse, sanitize and return all equipment back to its designated area immediately after done using. Complete time of use, daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation scheduled responsibilities along with documentation once work is complete.

  • Follows all policies and procedures LaClare Creamery has implemented in regard to food and personal safety to assist in maintaining a safe work environment and safe, quality products at all times.

  • Lives the Milk Source Way while promoting our values and culture drivers

  • 2pm - 10pm, 5 days/week

  • Other duties as assigned

Sales Associate

Overall Responsibilities

Assists in the day to day operations of the Retail Shop which includes daily food preparation, maintaining high store standards, and a positive environment at LaClare Family Creamery.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrating the highest standards of customer welcome and care when assisting customers at the counter and delivering orders to tables

  • Performs food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, making soups or salads, preparing breads or desserts, and brewing coffee or tea using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures.

  • Cleans food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables.

  • Performs general cleaning activities in kitchen and dining areas.

  • Restock kitchen supplies, rotate food, and stamp the time and date on food in coolers while monitoring supplies and food items to maintain inventory.

  • Giving advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to customers to ensure a positive experience

  • Restock and rotate merchandise

  • Handle all transactions at check out

  • Sandwich, salad, and food preparation as needed

  • Serve food to guests and adhere to all food safety guidelines

  • Help keep the shoppe and café clean and inviting

  • Assist in facility and grounds maintenance as needed

  • Perform other duties as necessary to make the team better

  • Keeping up to date with special promotions and creating displays

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills & Attributes: ​

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services preferred. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of techniques and equipment for food preparation including storage and handling techniques preferred

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques preferred

  • Knowledge of cash register operations and cash handling experience preferred.

  • Point of sale experience preferred

  • Works effectively and relates well with others

  • Exhibits a professional manner, working to maintain constructive working relationships

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Part Time hours available and include weekends

  • Hours include but are not limited to 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Mon – Sun
