Artisan Goat Milk Creamery
Field Trips at LaClare
Experience a one of a kind vertically integrated agricultural education tour for your students. Students will be able to see the dairy goats (depending on the time of year) that produce the raw product, goat milk. Students will learn about the many products that are crafted in the on site creamery from the goat milk.
Each visit to our farm is unique. Our tours change based upon what is available at the time of your visit, as well as the age level of our visitors. We start each of our visits with an overview of what we do. We have a dairy goat farm, a creamery, a retail shoppe and a café. Students will have the opportunity to sample our bottled goat milk and cheeses!
After teachers register for their field trip (by clicking the button below) we will contact you with a curriculum created for the age/grade of your students.
May through October weather permitting field trips will include a tour through our dairy goat barn.
June through September kids are available to pet in the Kid Zone. (Depending on weather kids may be in there May through October).
November through April tours will include a sampling of some cheese products.
Each student on the field trip will receive a sample to take home with them!
If you have taken a tour with us or would like additional experiences with us please ask about our workshops. We can suggest other learning experiences for your students based on their age level.
Our field trips last one hour per group. We are able to provide your students with boxed lunches at a reasonable price! There are also picnic tables available (May-Oct) for students to enjoy lunch on the grounds.
Tours are just $5 per person. We require a $50 deposit fee at the time of booking the tour to secure the date and time of your field trip (deposit will be applied to the total cost of your field trip). The deposit is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the scheduled field trip. There is a $75 minimum on field trips; 15 paid students meets our minimum. Chaperones aren’t required to pay.
Field Trips are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays of each week. If there are circumstances in which your group cannot visit on these set days, please email us at email@example.com and we can discuss additional options as we work to accommodate all groups interested in visiting LaClare. Please be sure to fill out the form below to reserve your date and time.
We do not issue refunds due to rain. Our tours are held rain or shine.
